Cookie Policy
Effective Date: February 1, 2026 | Last Updated: October 21, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and give website owners information about how their site is being used.
2. How We Use Cookies
LanguageKnow uses cookies for the following purposes:
2.1 Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core functionality such as security, authentication, and accessibility. You cannot opt out of these cookies as the website cannot function properly without them.
- User authentication and session management
- Security features and fraud prevention
- Cookie consent records (the cookies of Google's consent message, and a record in your browser's local storage that you closed our cookie notice)
2.2 Analytics Cookies
We do not use Google Analytics or other third party analytics cookies. Our hosting platform records usage events with a session identifier kept in your browser's local storage, not a cookie, so that we can monitor performance and fix issues.
2.3 Advertising Cookies
These cookies are used to deliver advertisements that are relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement and help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
On our website, Google AdSense sets advertising cookies. No advertising cookies are set inside our native mobile apps: the apps use Google AdMob, request non-personalized ads only, and show Google's consent prompt (UMP) to users in the European Union and the United Kingdom. The iOS app does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not access the device advertising identifier.
Our only advertising provider today is Google (Google AdSense on the web and Google AdMob in the mobile apps). We do not use any of the following networks today; we may use one or more of them in the future:
- Meta Audience Network: serves ads from Facebook and Instagram advertisers
- Amazon Publisher Services: serves advertisements from Amazon's advertising network
- Microsoft Advertising: serves ads from Microsoft's advertising network
- Media.net: contextual and display advertising
- AdThrive / Mediavine: premium display advertising networks
- Other partners: we may add or change advertising partners over time
3. Third-Party Cookies
We use services from third parties that may set their own cookies on your device. These include:
Google Advertising Services
Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

For more information about how Google uses data when you use our site, visit: How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps
4. Cookie List
The following is a non-exhaustive list of cookies that may be set.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| FCCDCF | Google (consent message) | Stores your consent choices | 13 months |
| FCNEC | Google (consent message) | Consent message state | 1 year |
| __gads, __gpi | Google AdSense | Delivers and measures ads | 13 months |
| IDE, DSID | DoubleClick (Google) | Personalized advertising | 1 year / 2 weeks |
| cookie_consent (local storage) | LanguageKnow | Records that you closed our cookie notice | Until you clear it |
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can manage your cookie preferences in the following ways:
5.1 Consent Choices on Our Website
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see Google's consent message, which asks for your consent before Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies for advertising on our website. Visitors in Europe may also see our own cookie notice on their first visit, which explains that we use essential cookies; closing it does not change your advertising choice.
5.2 Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these settings in the "Options" or "Preferences" menu of your browser. The following links provide information on how to modify cookie settings in popular browsers:
5.3 Opt-Out of Personalized Advertising
You can opt out of personalized advertising from our advertising partners through:
6. Impact of Disabling Cookies
If you choose to disable cookies, some features of our website may not function properly. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the website to work. Disabling advertising cookies will not remove ads from the website; you will simply see non-personalized advertisements.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for the latest information about our use of cookies.
