Platform License
By uploading content, you grant LanguageKnow a:
- Perpetual: Lasts forever, even if you leave the platform
- Worldwide: Can be used globally
- Non-exclusive: You can still use your content elsewhere
- Royalty-free: No payment obligations
- License to: Use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your content
What This Means
- Your educational content remains available to learners for continuity
- We can translate your content into other languages
- We can use it to improve the platform (AI training, recommendations)
- We can showcase it in marketing materials (with attribution)
Your Rights
- You can request content removal anytime
- Content remains in learner progress for educational continuity
- Your username will be attributed to your content
- You can use your own content anywhere else simultaneously
Your Warranties
By uploading, you confirm that:
- You have the right to upload this content
- It doesn't violate anyone else's copyright, trademark, or rights
- It's not plagiarized from other sources
- You're responsible if it violates third-party rights
AI-Generated Content
AI-assisted content is clearly marked and follows special rules:
- Human Review Required: All AI content must be reviewed and approved by a teacher
- Labeled Clearly: AI-generated content is tagged as such
- Teacher Ownership: The reviewing teacher is considered the author, not the AI
- No AI Copyright Claims: Neither the AI system nor LanguageKnow claims copyright on AI content
- You Cannot Claim: You may not claim AI-generated content as your original creation
Platform IP Protection
The following are owned by KOMS Services LLC and protected by law:
- LanguageKnow name and logo
- Website design and user interface
- Software and codebase
- All proprietary systems and tools
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part without written permission.
